What are some of the benefits of an IP PBX Phone System?

  • Depending on your IP PBX, easily add and remove internal extensions within your business.
  • Add external extensions for remote workers, either from home, or while traveling. Sales consultants can work from their hotel room and accept calls on their extension either by plugging an IP handset into the fast internet connection, or setting up a softphone on the laptop.
  • Easily forward calls to different extensions.
  • Free calls within the office to other extensions.
  • Free calls to other office locations (free of call charges). If your business has multiple sites you will be able to transfer calls and call between offices in the same way you transfer and call within the one office location.
  • Call logs can easily be viewed. Depending on the Access Point PBX solution you choose you can view different call logs. You can monitor extensions, see which extension is making or receiving the most calls. Or view what time during the day your office has the most/least calls. View call length and more. You can use these reports to identify further cost savings through different plans and work loads per extension.
  • Voice mail messages can be sent to one or more email addresses. So you can access your messages away from your handset.
  • Easily update office operating hours. For small business it is hard to get all staff together for a meeting and cover the phones. Now with an IP PBX you can choose to send calls to an unavailable message for customers to leave a message to be called back shortly. OR you can transfer all calls (or calls for certain numbers) to one extension or to a mobile if you still wish to answer some calls.
  • Transfer calls to extensions, to employee’s mobile phones, or to outside numbers.
  • All phones can ring for each call, or only certain phones/extensions can ring depending on the extension (press one for sales etc).
  • Messages on hold can be uploaded to your system so you can advertise to your customers while they are on hold. Highlight specials, operating hours, services and more.
  • Music on hold. Depending on the IP PBX you choose you can select the music your customers listen to on hold.

All the above benefits are dependent on the VoIP PBX you you select, the internet plan you are on, the VoIP provider you select.

Unlimited simultaneous incoming and outgoing calls on one line (depending on the provider/hardware/Internet connection).
